CPS #70

This is my take on Sketch #70 from CPS.
I've used Melissa Frances paper, the frame is Heidi Swapp & the white chip bits are American Crafts.

This is a pic of our kitty Bella. It was taken the week before she had her sterilisation op, which she is recovering from still. She was having all kinds of fun hiding in the fake plant on top of the fridge, LOL. I can't wait for Friday to have the stitches out, or should I say stitch, she's managed to get rid of one, naughty girl.

Creative Weekend Fun

I've had such a great weekend. My daughter & grand daughter came for a sleepover visit & we had such a lovely time together. Chloe & I had fun working on some creative projects together & chatting.
We really enjoyed altering a cute little Bella 6 x 6 clipboard each. I decided to make mine as a note paper holder to put on the fridge as they have a magnet on the back. I used my favourite colour, yellowish green, I use it a lot throughout my home, & I sometimes like to add a little touch of red.
I really wanted to add those chip letters to the top of the clip, & I managed to get them stuck on so I was pretty happy with that.

I hope you all had a great weekend too.

A Bit Of Fun

Today was fairly quiet as far as work to do went, so I had some time this afternoon to have a go at Melanie's CC challenge, which was to make a bookmark with a photo incorporated into a flower.
I had sooo much fun playing with my new Cricut Expressions machine making this.
The flower shapes, leaves & grass were all cut with the Cricut. I've layered several flowers with foam tape for some dimension.
Here it is.... I even snuck in a cute little snail, LOL.

Thanks for stopping by to have a look.

Cyber Crop Time Again

Last night was cyber crop night at Scrap Pile & it was also my first time at hosting.
It was heaps of fun as usual & it was great to see so many new girls join us.
The theme for this month's crop was "Friends". My challenge is a "Friendship Circle".
We all posted 5 of our favourite scrapping things, then I drew out the names in order, so that the first person drawn makes a card for the second person & on & on until the last person drawn makes a card for the first person. After the cards are completed they are to be sent on to the friend it was made for.
I drew Jaki as my friend & her 5 favourite things were scallops, birds, circles, ribbon & green.
Here is the card I made for her.

I need to find some time this week to get some other challenges completed....hopefully.

I am also very proud of my eldest daughter who has recently been appointed to a design team.
Very well deserved too as she is so incredibly talented & creative.
Congratulations Chloe !!!!!!

Sugared Cards

Here are the cards that I made with the remainder of my DT kit this month.
They all feature Basic Grey "Sugared" papers & element stickers.

On this one I've inked the scalloped chipboard circle & added dots with a white Signo pen.

June Design Team Projects

This month we were allowed to choose our own design kit from the Scrap Pile store. There are soooo many great goodies in there it was really hard to choose. I ended up deciding on a Kaiser Fancy Flower mini album & papers from the Basic Grey Sugared range.
The theme of this album is my Mum's younger years.
I really enjoyed creating this & just love the old black & white photos with these papers.

I also made some cards with the leftover materials but I'll save those for another day.

June Card Challenge

I have the new challenge for June posted over at Scrap Pile.
This month the challenge is to create a card which uses a mask of some kind on it.
This is my example card. I've used a plain green piece of paper, laid a paper flower down & inked the petals, which leaves an outline of the flower on the paper. I've gone around the paper doing this several times.

Hope you will join in the challenge. There is a $10 gift voucher for the winner.

Cyber Crop Fun

We had lots of fun at the Scrap Pile cyber crop over the weekend. There were lots of great challenges to take part in & knife edge games of bingo....I'm yet to win bingo, LOL.
The theme of the CC was "Fresh & New". There's nothing quite as fresh & new as a sweet newborn baby so my challenge was to make a baby card & to continue the design through to the inside of the card as well.

Here is my example:

I've used Wild Asparagus paper & frame with a journalling card behind it & I added some punched flowers & pearls.

This is the inside of my card:

Deb's challenge was to do an altered item which included a pocket & some type of folding.
I picked up this box while on holiday in Melbourne & decided to turn it into a memory box.
I've used Pink Paislee papers (.....again!!!).

This is the finished result:

Here is a pic of the lid detail.

Inside I've added a pocket along the back wall & each end of it has been pleated.

Here's a close up of the pleating but it's a bit hard to see because of the striped pattern.

It's a long weekend here so I'm really enjoying the extra day of relaxation & getting lots of things done.
Hope you all have a great week.
