I was so excited when I read about the Earth Day challenges over at the Just Johanna site. There were such great ideas & I really wanted to get so many of them done but it was a busy weekend here & I just didn't find the time.
I did manage to finish this entry for the Lunch Sack challenge set by the lovely Melissa Phillips.
I had so much fun with this card & I would never have thought to use a brown paper bag, thanks so much Melissa.
I've stamped a Heidi Grace flower stamp 3 times on a brown paper bag, cut them out & layered them. The PP is Cosmo Cricket Hey sugar.
Thanks for looking.

Me...do a Layout????
Now I am no scrapper, that's for sure, but I thought I'd give Melanie's CC challenge a go.
The challenge was to do a vintage style layout including some pearls. This is an old photo taken of my Mum back in 1957. She loved to go dancing at the Embassy Ballroom in Perth, with her friends on the weekends. Back in those days, photographers would take your photo on the street & you could choose to buy it if you liked. The photos I have of Mum are all quite worn so I'm going to get them restored.
The old marquisite watch belonged to my Mum & she would have worn it back during this time of her life.

I'm Back
We had a great holiday. Melbourne was a wonderful city & we had so much fun seeing all the sights & of course doing some fantastic shopping. The weather was absolutely beautiful & we only had one cold day all week.
One of the real highlights for me was meeting one of my online friends from Scrap Pile, Maree.
It was an absolute treat to get to know you better Maree & thank you for your kindness & generosity.
Here's a pic of us enjoying ourselves.
That's Maree on the left, in beige, & I'm on the right with my little girl Molly, who had just stopped pulling faces at the camera, LOL.
Well after all the washing & ironing that needed to be dealt with, it was straight back into the swing of things.
Last night we had our monthly cyber crop over at Scrap Pile.
After a knife edge game of Bingo, it was onto the great challenges set by the DT girls.
The deadline for all entries is not until this coming Friday night, so if you'd like to join in, there's still plenty of time.
The theme for the CC is Mother's Day & my challenge is to create a 6" x 6" card inspired by flowers.
Here is my example card.
That's about it for now.
Have a lovely weekend.

Bon Voyage
Well we are off to Melbourne in the morning. Lots of excitement in my house tonight & possibly not much sleeping. This will be my first time in a plane....EEKKK. I'm sure it will be just fine, well that's what I keep telling myself, LOL.
Amongst all the chaos today I snuck upstairs & took some time out to whip up this card from the leftovers of my DT kit. It was very calming to my jittery nerves. This one also uses the Adorn It Carolee's Creations Timeless Stripe paper with some Heidi Swapp glitter florals & a Scraplets chip word.
So it's bye from me for now. Have a great week.

First DT Projects
I'm so excited to be finally able to show my first DT projects for Scrap Pile.
I received lots of gorgeous goodies, big thanks to you Mel, & have had lots of fun putting these together.
The first project is a Mother's Day canvas which I've made for my daughter & starring my beautiful little grand daughter, Matilda. She'd make anything look good.
I've used a Kaisercraft wooden canvas & papers from their "Be Mine" range.
I thought it would also be nice to make a matching card to go with it.
These next 2 cards were fun to make. I've used AMM "Birthday Boy" paper & jelly plaques.
This last card is made using Carolee's Creations "Timeless Stripe" paper & lots of other bits & pieces to really glam it up.
I'm off to Melbourne in a few days time for a much anticipated family holiday.
We are very excited & looking forward to having lots of fun together.
There are suitcases that require packing though so I'd better get on with it.
Bye for now.
