Long Weekend Bliss

Ahhhh, it's a long weekend here, 3 days of relaxation & fun, I'm feeling happy!!!!
I was determined to make the most of it & spend some time in my craft room this weekend & I got off to a flying start last night with Linda's new card challenge at Scrap Pile.
This is the card I created.
I've had this gorgeous embossed K & Co paper for years & have never used it but it was perfect for this card.
The challenge was to use a Pottery Barn ad for inspiration. It had lots of white, yellow & timber in it so I chose the colours as my inspiration.

I'm hoping to get more done over the weekend. My daughter, Chloe, is coming over so I'm sure we'll get busy with some paper together.

I wanted to share this photo of a little visitor I had to my gargen yesterday.

We have Kookaburras visit quite often & I love taking pics of them.
I consider us to be very lucky to have so much beautiful wildlife sharing our garden with us.
We have many types of birds, bandicoots, rabbits, lizards & ducks who are regularly seen in our back yard.

This is a photo of a Kingfisher that I took last Winter. I was amazed by how intense his colour was, isn't he beautiful?

I hope everyone is having a fabulous day.
Take care & have fun :)

This One's For You Mel

As promised earlier today, I'm back with some new cards. Sorry to keep you waiting Mel, LOL.
My dearest hubby gave me a Basic Grey "Porcelain" Card Kit on Saturday, for Valentine's Day...isn't he a love?
Here are the 8 cards that I made from the kit. I really enjoyed making these, it was heaps of fun.

On Sunday, Chloe & I had a day of card making together. She made us each 8 wee little 3" x 3" cards & we both used Basic Grey "Urban Prairie" papers to decorate them.
They are so cute & just perfect to use as gift cards on presents.
Here is my little collection.

Thanks for stopping by again. Hope you have a great week :)

Guess What?????

I have some very exciting news to share.
My beautiful daughter Chloe is expecting her second baby. I'm going to be a Granny again!!!!!
It's been very hard keeping this secret but she announced it on her blog so I'm free to blab now, LOL.
The baby is due late September...now I just have to wait, I'm not very good at waiting though.

I've got heaps of new cards to show but I just need to take some piccies first & hopefully I'll get around to posting them later on today.

CPS #102

CPS have given me the inspiration to get back into my craft room again.
I wish I had more time lately to create but with so much going on at the moment I am just grabbing little snippets every now & then.
My focus is on getting work done on the house & we are making great progress which makes me very happy.
The back to school routine is proving hard to get use to again. Oh I wish I could sleep a little longer when that alarm clock rings.

Here is my take on sketch #102.
I've used MME papers & diecut.

Thanks for dropping by :)
