Sketch This #50

Sketch This are celebrating their 50th sketch so I thought I'd join in & have some fun with the sketch too. I still have my Pink Paislee obsession but have moved on to their other range "Office Lingo" which is just as beautiful as "Spring Fling".

This is my take on Sketch #50.

All the paper is Pink Paislee & the stamp is Melissa Frances.
Congratulations to Sketch This & thank you for all the inspiration.

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all you hard working fabulous Mums. I hope you all have a wonderful day. I was spoilt with some lovely flowers, hand made gifts & toast.....that wasn't burnt, LOL.

I'm still loving playing with my Pink Paislee papers & made this card from Sketch #63 from http://cardpositioningsystems.blogspot.com/ . It's the first time I've done a sketch & really enjoyed it.

WOW...3 Posts In 3 Days!!!!

Here are the rest of the cards from my May DT kit.
These ones all use October Afternoon "County Fair" papers. I like the combination of colours in these papers.

This one features an Inque Boutique stamp.

This is a little purse card, something a bit different.

The MME journal card slides out of this one.

I love these chip butterflies from Maya Road.

Now I need to get cracking on making a special birthday card for my little one who will be turning 6 in a few weeks.

National Scrapbooking Day Fun

We had lots of fun over at Scrap Pile celebrating National Scrapbooking Day.
I actually called my very first game of bingo, LOL.
After bingo I put up a quick little card challenge. It had a 2 hour time limit & needed to include a stamp, some chipboard & dots of some kind.
Thanks for playing along Jaki & Mel, I loved your cards.
This is my card...

Mel paired us up for a partner challenge & Jaki & I were put together for a card challenge.
We had to choose 3 things each to challenge our partner to use.
I chose 2 PP, a flower & ribbon for Jaki & she made the most gorgeous card.
Jaki challenged me to use scallops, a bird & the colour green.
Gosh I had a lot of fun with it & this is the result. I just LOVE this Pink Paislee paper range.

Where Does The Time Go?

Gee I've been a bit slack with updating my blog but I have been really busy otherwise.
My DT kit arrived at the end of last month & I got stuck straight into it & managed to create 8 cards from all the goodies Mel sent me.
I couldn't share them for awhile as they were for May so I needed to wait a bit.
Here are 4 from the first kit. I'll upload the others next time.
This kit included papers from Paper Loft's "Well Worn" range & some cute chipboard.
I love the little bugs on this one, I think they're snails, LOL.

I made this one from a Heidi Swapp file folder & it's for my cool nephew who is turning 18.

I had a good laugh when I was looking through my kit when it arrived. I pulled out the bottom part of the house & stared at it & scratched my head, thinking what on earth is this???.....then I found the roof, LOL.

This last card did take awhile. My trusty scissors got a bit of a work out but the result was worth it. I picked up the Wild Asparagus frame while I was in Melbourne & just love it...wish I'd bought more now.

That's it for now. Hope to be back tomorrow.
